Hi all Hi

We picked up Archie on Saturday and he is very good at car travel, not a peep from him and we drove for an hour.
He has settled in like he has always been here, a bit excitable but that is to be expected, still needs a bit of settling
in time. He is good on lead walks, if a bit aware of passing cars but that is being worked on. He wants to play with the little ones but for size reasons we have to keep that in check, again give it a few months and I'm sure all will be ok.

He is a lovely lad and we are very pleased with him.

Will upload some piccies soon.

Thank you Sharon and all at LBDR. thanks

PostSubject: Archie has had a bad evening   Archie - Bulldog type - - Page 2 EmptyWed Mar 14, 2012 3:34 pm

Not good, he has bitten my lodger this evening. He's been fine with him till now. All he did was come into the front room and say hello to Archie, put out his hand to let Archie smell it and he growled then bit his arm. It looks very nasty, the lodger is ok but we cannot afford to lose his money. I went to tell him off and he growled and snarled at me. Still thinking settling in time but not good tonight. Any views, advice welcome.

We had a few issues with Walter in the first week or so. Did the lodger go over his head, as thats when Walter got funny. Walter is now the sweetest dog ever, it just took a few weeks to get him to settle down. Sean is great and will definately be able to help you out.

p.s. Hi from down the road (Redhill)

Thanks for the helpful words. I think I had a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. He is a super dog and is a quick learner. No probs since and he has met lodger without issue. Shaun has called and given good advice, not worried. Step daughter is here and he greeted her like a long lost friend so good there too. It's true that they do need a good settling time and he is definitely worth it. Thanks again.
