Georgie boy - Rotti (AKA Flyboy)

New lad in today, he's very handsome & seems like a lovely boy. He's around 2 years old, needs to gain some weight & has what is thought to be Flystrike at the base of his tail. It was driving him crazy so he went straight to the vets where he had a couple of injections to ease the pain & irritation, he has stayed at vets & tomorrow he will have that sorted, be neutered & have his dew claws removed.

He didn't have a name & my suggestion of Derek didn't go down too well, he then showed a real talent for catching flies so for now at least he is known as Flyboy.

not sure about the name ,,, i like max , which in Latin means greatest.

Clive and I met Flyboy. I'm not a great lover of Rotties but I think I could be persuaded to love this one. He was so knid and gentle and walks lovely on a lead. But what a fly catcher. So glad thet Ivan got his back sorted so quickly it looked so sore and it irritated Flyboy no end.

Poor boy has still been very itchy today but is on antibiotics and sedatives although the sedatives do not seem to be working bless him, I am sure in a few days though he will start to feel better, will get more photos asap

His name as now Georgie boy & he is just such a lovely boy, we have been really busy trying to get organised for the funday so more updates & pics will be following very soon

Georgie boy today, he really is a good boy and craves attention making taking pics a little tricky as he wont leave your side.

He seems a nice natured boy is walking better on the lead and seems friendly with the other dogs, normally takes no notice if one of the other dogs has a go at him when he passes their kennel

He has he stitches out next week and will then start his vaccinations

As his history is unknown he will be looking for a home with no young children but maybe older children with large breed experience, think he could live with a female dog as he is showing all the signs of wanting to play with other dogs, although until he is healed we are not letting him play

He loves attention and his recall seems to be quite good although this would need to be worked on before being let off a long line

He is putting on weight and loves his food but will sit nicely for it and does not create to be given it

Georgie is a little darling, he is VERY loving & will stick to you like glue to get a fuss, he also loves water & the hose pipe & can get a little over the top with it.

He never stops smiling & wagging his tail, how this sweetie ended up as a stray I will never know

Yes Lyn he is all healed up now, you need to pop over again sometime for a catch up on the dogs
