UPDATE
Sid is a lovely friendly gentle giant, he is 4 years old but a big puppy at heart. He adores being around people and is always happy to see them. No sign of any stranger issues or kennel guarding as yet. Very irresistibly squishable!
Sid loves his food, will do sit and paw. He is very gentle with his (enormous) mouth and fine to swap high value treats.
Sid shows some interest in toys, he will exchange. He has good control on rough and tumble games, but does like to use his weight when tugging, (almost lost a ball in his huge chops, so needs some big toys)
Loves any kind of hands on attention, especially a good neck scratch
Sid's previous owners never let him off lead and avoided other dogs on their one 15min walk a day, so he is understandably a little under-socialized. He tends to weigh them up from a distance, he is keen to meet and may likely play once more comfortable and confident but can intimidate other dogs with his size. Sid will need much more than a 15 min walk a day and work with other dogs will be needed we will be working on this whilst he is at the rescue but it will need to be continued in his new home
Sid big for his owners house that is why he came into rescue
He lived with children He was friendly but too big and always knocked them over and squashed them. for this reason we would say older children only. He has been left for 6hours with no problem, BUT had access to a garden. Owner stated he shows an “interest” in cyclists and tried to chase cats
