The monthly Mote park dog walk is arranged by the Maidstone practice of Vets4Pets in aid of the Large Breed Dog Rescue.

The vet Ivan & all his staff are a fantastic bunch, they are very friendly, understanding & are great with all the dogs we take to them.

Ivan organises this dog walk once a month, it is great for socialising the dogs, all breeds & sizes of dog are welcome. Ivan will administer first aid if needed, all the dogs get a bandanna to wear & there are on lead parts of the walk as well as plenty of off lead fun & socialising.

Each dog walker pays a pound to join the walk, at the end of the walk Ivan has a count up of the money raised & then matches that amount out of his own pocket, that total then gets taken off of our vet bills.

We can't thank them enough for all their help & support

Please note if you are coming along it is advisable to wear your wellies, especially if you want to paddle in the pond & stream with your pooches

can u park near the entrance of the park

There is a car park just inside the gates and the road just outside is normaly good for parking

Also its a pound per dog but what i do is bung in what i can which means ivan has to double that when we had a dog in that cost a whole lot and needed extra treatment i put extra in to help the rescue

I will bring all my gang - 3 border collies and Digby himself (and the youngest daughter now married for company) so all I ask is that you think of this mad crazy Welsh woman who will be setting off from home at 6.00am to join you all for a walk = hopefully the weather will be kind to us too !!

Thanks also for the tip about the wellies - we will pack them the night before so we dont forget them.

If there is any paddling to do the dogs can do that on their own as m y lot love water.

Looking forward to Sunday. (Is there anywhere to eat around Mote Park or would it be advisable to bring a picnic ?)

Roxy will definitely be on the walk on Sunday.....just spoke to her foster Mum.

yeh we put in a tenner last walk.love the idea of it being doubled.we had missed a couple so we had some owed.cant wait to catch up with everyone.see you sunday.

Us Humans and our Doggies have a great time on these walks

The most dogs we have ever walked with is 5.

Barkley sometimes likes to have a quick sniff of other dogs but he mostly ignores them he'd much rather spend his time sniffing the ground & shoving his head in holes

yeah they seem to you get the odd voice but nothing much else.

(It was my boy who used to be the loud one!!!...........oops )

it is amazing to watch all the dogs running together, large and small.

Oh we were so looking forward to the dog walk tomorrow but we cant come now.................we're off to wales to rescue a ex-breeding bitch as long as she gets on ok with our Barkley we can bring her home tomorrow.

But we will definantly be coming on the next walk & hopefully with two dogs

lexus is alright ,,, lennox is ok with big dogs (he will try to have a go at them and then settles down) , he hates little dogs (he,s had too many go for him and now he gets in there first) , he stays on his lead when we are out just like he will stay on his lead tomorrow
