Hes bouncy & happy & crazy but very very lovable.

You don't stand much chance of holding him back if he takes off - my boy was bad enough and going from the photo's this lad looks bigger than him. I used to walk my boy in a Halti (attached to the collar), just in case he decided to take off after something. They are surprisingly athletic for their size and specialise in sprinting.

Good look with trying to keep all four feet on the ground - I never succeeded!

I cannot believe how many of this breed are turning up as 'strays', it is so sad. Three years ago when I lost my boy, I was told that I would be very lucky if I managed to find a young male in rescue as they hardly ever came in.

Wish I lived closer, I would love to help you out with him.

Have heard of another 3 in need it is getting silly,

he was in the back of an estate car he had to lay down as he was to tall to sit

We wished you lived closer as well

he had his castration yesterday and had to have dew claws removed as well they were so loose and we would hate him having to go under again because he pulled them

Are they all in your area?

Sadly I think some are being bred as 'status' dogs - but they are way too big and far too intelligent to be used like that.

The thing is as pups they are really small and very cute, but as Kurt shows they grow!!!

There are quite a few people breeding them purely for money, especially around London, I really hope it does not grow into a big problem for the breed, I can just imagine the headlines if one of these dogs snaps and goes berserk.

At least Kurt is OK at the vets - I could not get my boy through the door!!!! Got his nose through the door once - ended up back across the car park a split second later, on one occasion he even broke a heavy leather collar in his panic. Best of it was he never had a bad experience at the vets in his life!!!

He looks like the lady at the vets fell in love with him - who can blame her!

**UPDATE** Kurt has been in a foster home for the last 2 weeks and is doing great. He's learning all the usual rules that
come with living in a home, he sits & waits for his dinner until you tell him he can eat it, he sits nicely while you put his
collar on, he's learnt to wait at the doorway until you give him the go ahead to go through, he walks beautifully on a head
collar and doesn't pull at all. Hes very high energy and enjoys two good, long walks a day. Hes the most soppy, loving lump
you could ever wish to meet - his favourite thing is, without a doubt, kisses & cuddles! Kurt has no clue of his size - he will
give you his paw and knock you out! And he will think nothing of trying to sit on your lap at any given opportunity. He's a
little bit gormless and training is slow & steady with Kurt but he will love you forever and be your best friend

Our wonderful Kurt Cobain is now REHOMED! This very special young man has gone off to start a new life in the Sottish Highlands. In a one-off & due to very special circumstances some of team LBDR drove this lad all the way up to Scotland on a 30 hour round trip. This is such a wonderful opportunity for Kurt and we felt it was worth going the extra mile for him .... Literally!! Not only do we have
to thank those special volunteers who drove him over 500 miles to his new family but also special thanks to those behind the scenes who stayed behind to look after the rescue dogs and those that helped keep an eye on the admin whilst we was away. This was a huge team effort for 1 very special lad. We'll miss you loads Kurt. Be happy handsome xx
