Walter - Cane Corso

Walter is a young Cane Corso, he is a bit nervous & very skinny but he is very handsome & seems like a nice lad.

Walter is with us in conjunction with the Iron Mountain Large breed rescue (monkey aka Anna).

Poor lad at the moment I am feeding him 4 times a day but think this may have to change to 6 times as he is either bringing it up where he eats it so fast or it goes straight through him, poor lad was full of worms but I hope we have sorted that now and he had some fleas also treated

I was in the field when Sharon brought him out and was so shocked when he got close to see how skinny he is

Look forward to meeting him Monday. I saw a clever way of feeding so the dog can't inhale it, they used a cupcake tin and putting food in each of the 12 casings slows them down. I have a spare tin if you want to try it.

Walter is really coming out of his shell and becoming a bit of a cheeky monkey he is still eating as if he has not been fed before but the weight is going on now

I got to walk Walter last monday and what a good looking boy, he was only allowd to go for a short 1, but I could have kept going what an easy boy to walk and can't wait for him to start showing himself. Did the cupcake tin help to slow him down?

It has slowed him down in a way because he turned it upside down so then had to eat it from the floor

Oh poor Walter. You will have to stick his food bowl to the floor

Had the pleasure of meeting him today and walking him .. by the end of out walk I think he liked me a little bit....

He is a lovely boy and I hope his idea forever home comes up soon...
