Rocco - Olde Tyne Bulldog - HOMED Empty
PostSubject: Rocco - Olde Tyne Bulldog - HOMED   Rocco - Olde Tyne Bulldog - HOMED EmptyThu Sep 05, 2013 5:44 am

Rocco is 15 months, Olde Tyne Bulldog, he came from a military guy who lived in a flat above a pub with Rocco, the guy has been placed in barracks and can't take him. Rocco has been with the guy since he was 8 weeks old.
Rocco isn't aggressive in anyway, I've tested him with mine and he's been playing with them
Food is of no importance, fine in town, ignores people, likes children. Friendly chap, a little over friendly and is quite bouncy. His stump is going non stop.

Poor soldier and poor Rocco - he looks like a real 'people' type dog and a gorgeous one at that!

Name: Rocco
Age: 15 months
Sex: Male- entire
Breed: Dorset Bulldog
Micro-chipped: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes

House trained: Yes (although this may change due to a change in circumstances)

Special dietary requirements: None

History: One previous owner, being re-homed due to work commitments

Environmental cues:

Food: given; nicely taken, will let you take food away, other dogs around his food; Rocco isn't interested in food being eaten by other dogs in his presence, doesn't mind other dogs eating his food.
Food isn't high value to Rocco.
Water bowls were given no reaction when taken away or approached by other dogs.

Toys: Rocco isn't interested in toys, they represent no value.

Dogs in the home: Rocco approaches happily and unafraid ready to play.
Play bows when another dog tells him off.

Dogs in public: Rocco is happy and confident to walk in public places. He is unfazed by other dogs. His ears will prick up to take note that a dog is about but doesn't show any reactions.

Walking on lead: Rocco will try and pull to start but will stop once told to do so.
Rocco has good manners and is well trained to a basic level.
Rocco showed no reaction to high traffic or crowds.

Walking off lead: Rocco has good recall, comes when called. Loves to play and interact with children. This could be misrepresented by people who do not know him.

Approached directly by a friendly female dog; fine, wants to play

Approached directly by a friendly neutered male; fine, wants to play

Approached directly by a friendly entire male, raised hackles at base of tale, body language showed Rocco was unsure of what he should do but no reaction

Rocco has not been tested with a dog that has a low threshold of aggression, this would be unnecessary and inappropriate

********************

Rocco is a lively friendly lad, typical of his breed.
Rocco will look to his carer for reassurance and comfort that he's doing things right. He is a happy friendly dog

********************

Behaviour may change or alter in different circumstances. This assessment was done in good faith, under present environments.
