Monthly Walks Empty
PostSubject: Monthly Walks   Monthly Walks EmptyTue Dec 06, 2011 11:49 am

I am looking at putting together some dates for next year's monthly walks.

Would it be too complicated to alternate between Mote Park and, say, Jeskyns (off A2, SE of Gravesend)? Just thought a change of scenery might be welcome.

Or, if anyone can suggest a walk venue ... it has to be open aspect, fairly easy, free parking, take about an hour at a slowish pace, preferably have some water, and be in the local area for our regulars...not much to ask!

Provisional dates are: 15 Jan, 19 Feb, 18 Mar, 22 Apr, 20 May, 17 Jun, 15 Jul, 12 Aug, 16 Sep, 14 Oct, 11 Nov, 9 Dec. If you know of any event taking place in Mote Park on any of those dates, let me know as we should avoid walking a large group of dogs when there are sports or family events in the park.

...is there still interest in these walks?

Im afraid I speak as someone who has never made it on a walk, mainly because 10am on a Sunday morning in Maidstone is too early for me.; I think a change of venue (perhaps every other walk) is a great idea and perhaps an afternoon alternative might be good (or am I just being a lazy b****** lol) Ok dont answer that big smile

OK, I'm happy to arrange walks at different times of day.

I am not local to Maidstone so don't know the area. If we just alternate walks between two venues, that would be least confusing for everyone. Any ideas for another suitable venue, anyone?
