Pre-Christmas workout walk. We shall walk for about an hour and a half and there are two ascents that may get you puffing a bit and it will be muddy in places.
Meet at Pilots Wood Car Park in Shacklands Road (nearest postcode TN14 7BD), marked "B" on the map below.
The car park is less than 5 minutes from J4 of the M25.

Directions:
From M25 J4 (shown on the map): Exit M25 towards Bromley/Orpington and go to end of the spur road to a big roundabout (known locally as Hewitts Roundabout). Take the first exit sharp left on to A224 towards Dunton Green and Badgers Mount. At the next roundabout, take the first exit, left. This is Shacklands Road. About 300 m along the lane there is a car park for Pilots Wood on the right. The car park is the second of the two entrances off to the right there.
From Bromley (A21): Follow A21 through Green Street Green and Pratts Bottom. About a quarter of a mile south of the Pratts Bottom (Esso) roundabout the road becomes a dual carriageway. About 100 m after this, there is a turning on the right (there is a dedicated lane for turning right there). Turn right there and follow the road to the roundabout and take the second exit, Shacklands Road.
From Riverhead / Dunton Green: Go north up Pollhill (A224), past Pollhill Garden Centre on the right. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit right into Shacklands Road.
