Bones - American Bulldog

I walked Bones on Thursday and he was such a star, he strolled along beside me so relaxed.

He only stopped to have a roll in the grass, then carried on happily.

Bones was fab today
He went out with Brooke and Brooke was leading the walk - she kept
turning around and having a little bark at him but he just carried on
sniffing the grass and didn't respond at all. You tell him he's a good boy
and he looks up at you and really responds to praise now.

He walks brilliantly on the lead, no pulling at all.

And he seemed much happier today. I think he is finally getting over
Ed leaving!!

Bones is coming back into the rescue tomorrow from his foster home, there are some very big pheasant shoots going on over the next few weeks in the fields around his foster home and this we do not think would do him any good at all

Please everyone tell people about Bones he so deserves to be in his own home

Whilst in the foster home he has been mixing with a grumpy terrier and a lively springer and he has been as good as gold, there have also bee children around although we would still prefer older children if he was to go to a home with children

I think of all the dogs I have met so far, Bones was the saddest. I am soooo happy he has found his forever home, wishing them all nothing but fun, fur and happiness

Just a quick note to let you know how Bones is getting on - it's been nearly two weeks now and he's coming along very well. We had a very good journey home, no problems, the further west we went the less snow there was so it was OK. Bones sat quietly and was very well behaved and we stopped a few times to stretch our legs.

Bones is getting used to his new area and environment. He is happy to follow and we're slowly introducing him to our little dog, still keeping them in their crates but you can now see they are happy to see each other. Badger. quiet clearly wants to play and Bones seems very receptive to this - we have next week of work so we may take it one stage further and allow them some time together out of their crates. We walk them together, same walk, twice a day, quite closely but with an element of space just in case but quite often their path cross and we've had no problems.

I'll post back to you the coat you lent us, also we've not received Bones Vac. card yet, did you manage to post it?

I'll take some photos of Bones next week and send them to you - He's a very happy dog, who's slowly finding his feet but rest assured that with us he'll want for nothing and will always be looked after - he's very much part of our family now and we both love him very much.
