Kabana

Kabana... or “Bana” sometimes also affectionately known as “Banana” will be coming into us when we have a space for her.

Bana loves belly scrubs, big open spaces, catching a few sunny rays, beaches, racing through the countryside, long naps, but food is the key to her heart.

Bana really does not like baths or if she senses you are going to try to throw her in a lake to cool her off! She is distrustful of strangers and would rather be left alone by people she does not know. Unfortunately a lot of people stare at her and then try to stroke her without her permission because she is such a striking dog – she really does not like this, like a lot of dogs she would prefer to come to investigate you first. She also protects her own space from strangers - not those considered family though.

Once you have formed a bond with her she transforms into a loving, and affectionate dog. She will role on to her back on command for a ‘belly’ scrub or nudge your hand until you cave in and scratch her head. She has a growing need to feel loved and hence her demands for affection are growing too!

She is extremely obedient and well trained. She will walk to heel, sit, lie down, give paw, roll onto her back. She would pretty much do anything for treats, and is very smart. She is extremely intelligent and could probably learn any new trick. No problems travelling at all. I drove her once to Cornwall (4-5 hours) and she pretty happy with it all and so delighted when she saw the beach for the first time!

Kabana has arrived and according to her paperwork she is a Neapolitan

She is a large girl and not very happy at the moment but I am sure she will settle soon, we will get Mark to do a full assessment on her later in the week

It`s a shame she doesn`t know that one day in the not too distant future she will be heading off for a great life somewhere.

Once you get to know Bana she is the most sweetest girl you'll ever meet, she is so obideiant. She will sit stay and lay for you. Someone has done alot of work with her. Can not understand why they wanted to give her up. Perhaps it was the expence of her eye ops. It wasn't a vet that operated on her eyes it was a butcher obviously he didn't know what he was doing.. Poor girl. no wonder the owner gave her up. He couldn't afford the vet fees.

she walsk lovely on lead and like Clive said someone has done lots of work on her i really enjoyed taking her out yesterday , i cant wait to see her eyes looking better

What a lovely lady, nice to walk, takes food nicely and very happy and cuddley.
