Poor Dave's ear infection has not cleared up and after long talk with Ivan it him having another check up it has been decided that he needs ear canal realignment surgery which he will have next week, this is not a cheap procedure, but it is something Dave needs so we will make sure he has it done

He is a wonderful boy even with the pain he must be in

13/3/13

Dave
Introduction to strangers; on introduction Dave was contained within the car. He displayed no significant behaviours with strangers around the car and was keen to be taken out.
Handling and lead work; Dave was happy to be handled all over his body but showed slight signs of distrust around his ears (likely due to an on-going medical issue) and was very slightly head shy but gave no distinct signs of stress. Dave is good to put on a lead and although keen, did not express any jumping up or excitable behaviours. He had little to no attention to the handler on the lead
Dog introductions; Dave displayed positive and playful behaviours on all introductions and ignored all other reactive dogs. He gave a proper introduction with sniffing before inviting the other dog to play.
Food; Dave was disinterested in low value treats. Took food nicely from the hand and was happy with handling and removal of food whilst eating.
Summary; Dave is a bright and playful dog that enjoys both human and canine company. He would be happy in a home with another dog to keep him company. He appears sensitive and in tune with his surrounding so will need a stable environment with continued training to improve his lead work and basic obedience skills.

Dave has gone off to his new home, still under our vet at the moment for his ears but we thought better he starts to settle in new home whilst he recovers, now he has the shade off we know we are on the way

Be happy Dave xxxx
