| This dog is turning into a typical Trevor
He is up at the vets for castration, one of his Christmas baubles was missing so he has had to have a bigger operation to find it which they now have and it has been removed will be a longer recovery time and he has a large cut on his belly as the missing one was up in his abdomen | |

| He is a lucky boy to be looked after by LBDR as his retained bauble could have caused him big problems if left with people who didn't give a tuppence for him. Get well soon Big Trev, you are in safe hands now darling xxx | |

| Dogs Name: Trevor Breed: Bull Mastiff Sex: M Age: Date: 30/07/2012 SITUATION Dogs reactions Person casually walks past dog while dog is eating (meal or special food) Trevor has been very reluctant to eat at present, but the food has been left on the floor during the assessment and he has shown no problems towards it Person tries to pick up bowl while dog is eating (meal or special food) Same as above Person tries to pick up food that has fallen to floor while dog is trying to reach it Same as above Person tries to touch or take away high value food that dog is eating or holding Once Trevor has the high value object, every time you approach him he runs off with it, when you finally catch him he freezes so it was stopped there for safety reasons. Person tries to touch or take away a toy that dog is playing with Trevor showed no interest in any of the toys Person reaches hand towards dog Trevor shows no unwanted behaviours and is very accepting of affection Person reaches over dog’s head Same as above Person tries to put on leash and/or collar Trevor can become excitable but he is no over the top with it Person grabs at dog’s collar or neck Trevor shows no issues with you doing this Person pulls on dog’s collar or neck Same as above Person hugs dog around neck Trevor is very accepting of his Person pushes down on dog’s back Trevor sees this as affection and starts to become a little excitable Person pushes down on dog’s rump Trevor will go into a sit without showing any unwanted behaviour Person tries to get dog to lie down by voice command Trevor knows this command and will go into a down Person tries to get dog to lie down by physical pushing Trevor resists going into a down and becomes slightly excitable Person tries to get dog to roll over on its back by physical manipulation Once Trevor is in a dog he easily allows you to roll him onto his back without showing any unwanted behaviours Person tries to groom dog’s head , torso, or legs (ie other than feet) Trevor is very accepting of the brush and enjoys grooming Person touches dog’s feet Trevor shows no unwanted behaviours and will easily allow you to touch his feet Person clips or tries to clip dog’s toenails Not tested Person tries to bathe dog, including towelling off after bath Not tested Person tries to open dog’s mouth Trevor will easily allow you to open his mouth Person stares into dog’s eyes Trevor will hold eye contact for a few seconds then will look away without showing any unwanted behaviours Person shouts loudly near dog Trevor looks in the direct then carries on with what he was doing Person threatens dog with object such as newspaper or with hand Trevor doesn’t understand this and shows no reaction Person drops an object near dog Trevor shows a slight startle response then goes and investigates the object Stranger knocks on door or rings bell at dog's home Trevor will look at the door but doesn’t show any unwanted behaviours Stranger enters house Trevor can some things bark but once he knows is told to stop he does Stranger in house tries to pet dog Trevor is accepting and will allow strangers to pet him Stranger approaches dog in car Trevor has shown no unwanted behaviours Stranger approaches dog on street Same as above Another person touches or hugs person with dog Trevor has not been bothered by this Stranger shouts loudly in dog’s presence Trevor will look in the direct but doesn’t show any unwanted behaviours Dog walks past familiar non reactive dog Trevor appears curious of most dogs and will try to rush over to them, doesn’t show any aggression Dog walks past unfamiliar non reactive dog Same as above Dog walks past familiar reactive dog Trevor once they become reactive to him may bark and give a little lunge, but as soon as he is shown a means of escape he will take it Dog walks past unfamiliar reactive dog Same as above Trevor marks a lot on walks and will pull like a train to do this. Because of this Trevor doesn’t pay attention to much else. He is a very loving dog but he needs a lot of socialisation around over dogs to teach him to greet correctly. All these behaviours were shown at the time of this assessment conducted by Shaun Aldridge (Ruff Diamond Dog Training); however these behaviours may change in different circumstances.

| This handsome lad is getting better every time I walk him. He still pulls like a steam train at first but with a few consistent reminders he was FINALLY getting the hang of it yesterday ..... Hes got a memory like a sieve and you have to keep on & on & on reminding him what you want from him but for the first time ever he really started to understand. He's really not a Clever Trevor but he's very adorable and not bad looking for a Bullie!! | |

| I have taken Trevor out a couple of times now and his pulling is getting better, we took him to the hydrotherapy pool for a swim, he was great in the car and put on a brave face and did a couple of laps in the pool and was very well behaved for his bath after. | |

| Hi all this is the latest from Trevors new home, he also has a new name to go with his new home. I know it's only been like 4 days but im well excited to tell you that Diesel learned how to give paw and stay I am ssooo proud of him. Today was the first day he saw the ferrets thru the glass and he walks away when I tell him to. We went for walkies I had treats and ever time he ignored a person I rewarded him. I love him to bits and I'm so happy he xan be with us here are some pic | |

| It's so difficult introducing a dog to ferrets! It's taken my rescue Ridgeback 2 years to be able to tolerate our two ferrets and his behaviour around them improved dramatically when we realised he wanted some of their food just to 'deprive' them, so brilliant work with your boy :) | |
