Mote Park Walk - Sunday 17 July 2011 - PHOTOS

Just 10 dogs today - but we were clashing with another LBDR event. We welcomed a couple of newcomers and, of course, a big thank you to all the regulars who are the mainstay of these walks.

We raised a healthy £31 so, again, thank you to those who paid their donation plus an extra amount. You know who you are, it's much appreciated. Today's collection was added to the £30 raised last month and a total of £61 was paid to Vets4Pets to go towards the rescue dogs' vets bills.

The next walk is on 14 August - I hope to see lots of dogs there.

What was really great about this walk was that the owners of three of the dogs were reluctant, at first, to let their dogs off the lead, either due to poor recall or lack of socialisation with other dogs. Once they saw how the other dogs stayed together and (generally) got on really well - after the initial explosion of energy - all those dogs were released - and had a fantastic time! The owners were thrilled.
